Everything is prepared for the final memorial service for Pa Timothy Ajayi Owoniyi, who passed away in Kabba, Kogi State. Pa Timothy was the father of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and the chairman of the Okun Area Traditional Council.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the event starts at noon.

The state commissioner for finance, budget, and planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, heads the 25-member Pan Okun Reception Planning Committee, according to a statement from the Royal Court of Kabba, which assured that every effort was being made to ensure a top-notch event.

The reception will be held at the Olonijola Events Centre Kabba, and the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, will be leading dignitaries from all over the nation there.

At the reception, prominent traditional leaders from Kogi State and beyond are also anticipated.

The committee, according to the statement, also guaranteed that the relevant government agencies had committed to offering sufficient security for attendees at the event.

It conveyed the Owoniyi dynasty's sincere gratitude to local authorities, the family's friends and associates, as well as the general public, for their enthusiastic participation in the event's planning.

According to the statement, the palace expressed gratitude to Chairman Asiru Idris and the members of his committee for their efforts and the extraordinary work they had put in to deliver an event deserving of its name.

At the age of 90, Pa Timothy Ajayi Owoniyi passed away in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on December 2, 2021.

On December 16, 2021, his mortal remains were buried in a private interment at Egbeda, Kabba.
