Ayra Starr, a fast-rising Mavin artiste, has predicted her current success.
She slammed every 'imposter syndrome' attempt to make her feel unworthy of her accomplishments thus far.
Her most recent single, "Rush," which was released on September 16, recently dethroned Asake's "Joha."
On the 25th, 'Rush' surpassed Asake's 'Joha' to take the top spot on Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria.
The song is her first release following the August 6, 2021 release of her first studio album, 19 and Dangerous.
The Marvin star girl rebuked the ‘imposter sydrome’ while affirming ‘e dey rush’.
She tweeted: “Imposter syndrome is no joke and I rebuke it in the name of Jesus. I have worked so hard to be here, so hard, I refuse to feel like I don’t deserve it! E dey rush!!!!”
Imposter syndrome also called ‘perceived fraudulence’ is the frequent feeling of not deserving one’s success, and of being of a failure despite a sustained record of achievements.
It disproportionately affects high-achieving individuals who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments.
