Just in: DSS raids home, office of terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu, seizes computers, documents
Tukur Mamu was the negotiator between terrorists and passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train. On Thursday, armed agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) invaded his home and took computers and documents.

Mamu was detained on Wednesday in Cairo, Egypt, and afterwards returned to Nigeria where the DSS took him up.

On March 28, 2022, terrorists abducted dozens of passengers off a train headed for Kaduna; Mamu has secured the release of some of them.

Mamu, who serves as the editor-in-chief of the Desert Herald Newspaper, had his home and office under siege early on Thursday morning, according to information obtained.

Around 12:30 am, about 50 heavily armed DSS personnel raided the home in commando fashion, according to a family source who spoke to SR. They turned the house and office upside down as they searched the entire site.

“We were awakened by the pandemonium that announced the arrival of the officers who came in a large motorcade and were armed to the teeth.

“They conducted a random search in the house and his office but nothing incriminating or suspicious was found.

But they confiscated all of our electronics, including computers. Because of the intimidation, we are still in shock and trauma. We appeal to moral Nigerians to stop this injustice from taking hold.

This man risks his life to save others, yet all he received in return was abuse, intimidation, and life threats. This can only occur in a nation where the rule of law and citizens' rights have been suppressed, the family source claimed.
