A former Italy international thinks that forwards will play a crucial part in determining how the Scudetto will swing when the Italian top-flight heats up.
Luca Toni, a former striker for Bayern Munich, is enjoying the competition for the Serie A Golden Boot between Romelu Lukaku, Ciro Immobile, Victor Osimhen, and Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serie A's game week five matchups will take centre stage this weekend. It looks to be a goal fest as some of the best strikers in the world compete in the Italian premier division.
With four goals each, Teun Koopmeiners and Vlahovic are tied for first place in the scoring statistics. Additionally, Osimhen of the Super Eagles is one of at least eleven players who have scored more than two goals.
Luca Toni, a former star for Juventus and Bayern Munich, is anticipating the competition between the attackers and thinks that the Scudetto may come down to who scores the most goals.
“This will be the Championship for attackers”, Toni told Tuttomercatoweb as per Napoli Magazine.
“Lukaku is back, there is Immobile who always scores a lot of goals. I’m happy that Osimhen is still there. It would be a great Championship.”
Osimhen would face his attacking opponent Immobile in Napoli's next match, a challenging contest at Lazio. The Super Eagles star wanted to help his team win.
