NDLEA confirms custody of 26-year-old suspect in Kogi
On Saturday, the state police command turned over a 26-year-old drug dealer to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for investigation and punishment.

Kogi NDLEA Commander Abdulkadir Abdullahi-Fakai revealed this information to reporters in Lokoja.

“The NDLEA today, Saturday, Sept. 10, acknowledged the transfer of Friday Momoh, a suspected drug dealer to us by the Nigeria Police on Friday, Sept. 9.

“Momoh was reportedly arrested just by the gate of the Kogi State Polytechnic by the security men of the institution, ” he said.

The suspect was found in possession of a number of drugs, including Cannabis Sativa, also known as indian hemp, according to Abdullahi-Fakai, who also stated that "investigation has since begun."

The commander thanked the Kogi police, in particular CP Edward Egbuka, for the ongoing comradery, understanding, and cooperation that existed between the force and his organisation.

According to news reports, Momoh was stopped by Kogi Polytechnic Security Unit agents on Thursday as he attempted to enter the polytechnic's main campus in Lokoja while in possession of suspected hard drugs.

66 wraps of marijuana thought to be Indian hemp, 4 containers of the narcotic, various charms, scissors, $52,000 in cash, and additional hard drugs known as "ICE" were discovered in his hands.
