Osun election: Tribunal grants Ademola Adeleke’s requests in petition filed by Gboyega Oyetola
On Friday, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor, was granted access to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) papers by the Osun Election Tribunal in Osogbo.

Additionally, the judge granted his request for a forensic examination of the BVAS device.

The requests were granted by Tribunal Chairman Justice Tertsea Kume.

One of Adeleke's attorneys, Mr. Hashim Abioye, told reporters after the hearing that a full forensic audit of the BVAS system used for the election was required.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Gboyega Oyetola were given permission to inspect the materials used for the July 16 governorship election by the Tribunal on August 22.

Plaintiffs in the earlier-filed lawsuit contesting Adeleke's victory in the governorship election are Oyetola and the APC.

Sen. Ademola Adeleke, who upset the incumbent, Oyetola, in the Osun governor's race on July 16, has already been proclaimed the winner by INEC.

Through his lead attorney, Mr. Yomi Aliyu, Oyetola took INEC and Adeleke to court after being dissatisfied with the election's results (SAN).
