Bola Tinubu congratulates Justice Ariwoola
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has characterised Justice Olukayode Ariwoola's nomination as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) as a testimonial to a great judicial career marked by boldness, competence, and devotion to excellence.

In a message of congratulations delivered to the new CJN yesterday in Abuja, the APC candidate for the 2023 presidential election made this claim.

Three months after his appointment as interim CJN, Justice Ariwoola was sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday in the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.

In the statement by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, Asiwaju Tinubu said: “I congratulate Justice Olukayode Ariwoola over his appointment as substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.

“This appointment is apt and appropriate as it is a testament to an excellent judicial career characterised by courage, competence and commitment to excellence.

“Ever since he became a judicial officer and particularly since his emergence in November 2011 as a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Ariwoola has always distinguished himself in character and conduct.

“He is never swayed by anything but the dictates of the law. He interprets and applies the law as it is.

“I congratulate Justice Ariwoola on his accomplishment. I wish him immense wisdom and God’s guidance in this exalted office.”

Also, Asiwaju Tinubu has congratulated elder statesman and a top member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, on attaining 86 years of age.

He hailed the Lagos prince for his exemplary leadership and his continued contributions to the development of the state.

In a statement yesterday by Mr. Rahman, Asíwájú Tinubu said: “Today, I congratulate elder statesman and eminent leader in Lagos State and Nigeria, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, on his 86th birthday.

“A mentor and partner on the progressive front over the years, Prince Olusi has provided rare leadership and guidance for many of us in Lagos State and beyond.

“He has contributed immensely to the development of Lagos in all spheres of life, including political, economic and traditional.

“As a member of the Governance Advisory Council, his interventions have proved helpful in guiding Lagos to her present enviable height. His role within the traditional hierarchy in Lagos as a top prince is equally remarkable.

“My prayer is that Almighty Allah continue to keep Baba Olusi with us in good health and increased wisdom for the benefit of many who look up to him for guidance and direction. Amin.”
