In Borno state's Mainok, a Nigerian Army private named Emmanuel Iorliam was detained for allegedly smuggling guns.
Iorliam, a native of the Benue state, is accused of stealing weapons and ammunition from his camp and selling them to bandits, Boko Haram members, and kidnappers. Recently, he was apprehended as he was transporting the munitions cache out of Borno State for his clients.
At a checkpoint, Iorliam was stopped by his teammates, who discovered that he was carrying the stolen ammo after searching for him.
A video which was shared online shows the moment his colleagues intercepted him with the stolen items.
