Mike Ozekhome: Nnamdi Kanu should be allowed to go home
Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Nnamdi Kanu's attorney, argued on Thursday that Nnamdi Kanu should be released right now following his dismissal by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

The Federal High Court lacks the power to trial Kanu due to his kidnapping and exceptional return to Nigeria in flagrant breach of the OAU treaty and protocol on extradition, the court had already released Kanu.

Ozekhome stated on Channels TV that Kanu should be released in order for peace to return to the nation.

“What it (the ruling) means is that Nnamdi Kanu was discharged today,” Ozekhome said. “That means he is a free man.

“And he should be allowed to go home tomorrow by the time we get a certified true copy of the judgment, we serve it to the Office of the Attorney-General and the DSS to allow Nnamdi Kanu go. Let my people go.”
