The Super Eagles of Nigeria will not participate in the Africa Cup of Nations for Beach Soccer in 2022.
This comes as a result of the nation's withdrawal from the contest that Mozambique will be hosting.
The competition's updated schedule was issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Seven teams will now compete for the tournament's grand prize after Nigeria withdrew.
The three (3) teams in Group A are the three (3) hosts, Mozambique, Malawi, and Morocco.
Group B is made up of four teams. Senegal, Uganda, Madagascar, and Egypt are among them.
On October 21 at Vilankulos Arena, the hosts Mozambique, the runners-up from the AFCON in 2021, and Malawi, who is competing for the first time, will play each other.
The Beach Soccer AFCON final will take place on 28 October.
