The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Murtala Ajaka, has said that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige must openly support the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, defend the party or resign from the APC-led government.
Ajaka while responding to Ngige's demeanor of vulnerability in regards to who to embrace among Tinubu and the official competitor of the Work Party, Peter Obi, said any deputy of the APC government who neglects to help and safeguard the party and its applicants should leave.
However Tinubu is the public head of the APC, Ngige's party, he is from Southwest Nigeria yet Obi and Ngige are from a similar state in the Southeast. The two of them are previous legislative heads of the state. Strict and local affiliations assume a huge part in Nigeria's legislative issues.
Ngige had said that his choice on who to help among Tinubu and Obi would be made during the official political race in 2023, adding that announcing his decision presently is troublesome as the two applicants are his old buddies.

Ngige was charged to challenge the APC official essential political decision alongside Tinubu and others however weeks before the primaries the clergyman pulled out of the 2023 official competition to hold his seat in President Muhammadu Buhari's bureau.
