Police Rescue 21 Kidnap Victims In Katsina, Kill Terrorists

Friday, Katsina State police in the Dutsinma Local Government Area freed at least 21, kidnapping victims, including 15 women and six children.

After receiving a distress call reporting that terrorists had assaulted the villages of Buraji and Sabon Sara while riding motorbikes and firing intermittently from AK-47 rifles, the victims were saved at around 0430 hours.

After learning of the situation, Area Commander for Dutsinma, ACP Mohammad Makama, organised a group of Police Tactical Units, blocked their escape routes near Gandun Sarki Village, and engaged them in a bloody gunfight, ultimately managing to save every victim.

Many terrorists were killed, and some managed to flee the scene while still suffering bullet wounds, according to a statement from the police spokesman, SP Gambo Isah.

He continued by saying that tactical forces are still searching the area in an effort to find their dead bodies and apprehend the terrorists who were injured.
