Police vow to track down killers of Chinese in Ebonyi
On Monday, police in Ebonyi promised to find the gunmen who on Saturday attacked a mining site near to the state's border with Benue.

A Chinese person and a police officer were shot while the attackers fired randomly at the employees. Later, the Chinese passed away at a hospital.

The mining location is situated in the Ebonyi community of Otam Nwogba, Izzi Local Government Area.

SP Chris Anyanwu, the police spokesman, said on Monday in Abakaliki that the gunmen surrounded the premises and intermittently fired at the company's security guards.

“One of the policemen on duty sustained serious bullet injuries and is still receiving treatment,’’ he stated.

Anyanwu urged members of the public to join hands in fishing out the miscreants by giving prompt and reliable information concerning their identities and or location to the police.
