Three brothers, another arrested for robbery in Ogun
In Ogun State's Ijebu Ode neighbourhood, three brothers have been detained on robbery charges.

The accused were named as Hammed Jagbojagbo, Idris Jagbojagbo, Tobi Jagbojagbo, and Tosin Ogundeko in a statement released by the state's police public relations officer.

However, their companion is the fourth individual. They were reportedly apprehended after Ijebu Ode locals reported that several armed men had robbed a lottery agent in the Odi Olowo neighbourhood of the town of N90,000.

The robbery suspects allegedly stole a Bajaj motorcycle as well, but a police patrol squad pursued them and captured Ogundeko.

The suspects, according to him, admitted that they were all based in Epe but picked Ijebu-Ode as their base of operations.

“Upon the distress call, the DPO Igbeba division, CSP Musiliu Doga, quickly led his patrol team to the scene, gave the robbers a hot chase and succeeded in arresting one of them by the name Tosin Ogundeko from whom the Bajaj motorcycle was recovered,” the statement read.

“The arrested Tosin Ogundeko subsequently led detectives to their hideout in Epe, Lagos State, where the remaining three were apprehended; while one of them, simply identified as Tosin, a.k.a socket, escaped.”

Items recovered from the suspected robbers include one cut-to-size locally-made gun and one Bajaj motorcycle.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.

The police commissioner also directed a massive manhunt for the fleeing member of the gang.
