Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the (Watch Video Here) All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, took aim at Iyorchia Ayu, the national chairman of the People's Democratic Party, on Friday. He claimed that Ayu had shamelessly evaded the corruption charge that Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike had brought against him. (Watch Video Here)
In reaction to a previous claim made by Dino Melaye, spokesperson for the (Watch Video Here) PDP Presidential Campaign Council, that the incumbent APC is not prepared for elections, Keyamo made a harsh remark.
On September 23, Wike entertained Nigerians with a narrative of corruption within the PDP when he challenged Ayu to explain the cause of the party's issue. (Watch Video Here)
Ayu is dishonest, he had said. As the governor of Rivers State, I am also a lawyer. In Lagos, Ayu made one billion Naira. Prior to the primaries, he informed one of the PDP's presidential candidates that the governors were not prepared to provide party funding. (Watch Video Here)
I am aware of the individuals responsible for the money's arrangement and packing. The N1 billion was collected by him. He should publicly deny it to Nigerians, and I would then divulge more.
But a furious Keyamo claimed in a statement released on Friday that it is well documented that the PDP national chairman has shamefully avoided responding to the charge thus far. (Watch Video Here)
He chastised Melaye for having the courage to challenge the ruling party, comparing the opposition party to a leopard that is unable to change its spots.
Our attention has been called to a statement made by the PDP Campaign Council that claims the APC is not prepared to rule Nigeria. (Watch Video Here)
It is ironic and regrettable that the PDP would make such a ridiculous claim at a time when our nation has turned it into a stage for the most outrageous behavior. (Watch Video Here)
