Minister of Labour and Employment, (See Video Here) Chris Ngige, has said he cannot disclose who he will vote for in 2023 between two presidential candidates—Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), (See Video Here) because, according to him, both men are his friends.

The minister stated this on Channels Television’s programme, (See Video Here) Politics Today, on Friday. He stressed that he will decide who to vote for at the ballot box.

In his words, he said:  “I am facing a national assignment for now. Why are you asking me difficult questions? Both of them are my friends. “My choice will be in the ballot box. On that day, I will make my choice.” (See Video Here)

The former Governor of Anambra State was responding to the question as to whether he will find it a difficult choice to vote for Tinubu given the loud clamour from the Southeast geopolitical zone to produce Nigeria’s next president.  (See Video Here)

As a member of the APC, one would have expected that the minister would give a direct and definite response to the question about who he would vote for. He should naturally vote for Tinubu.  (See Video Here)
