The Igbo people have the potential to rule the country, according to Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue State. (See Ortom Here)
When the Igbo PDP Forum paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Makurdi, the governor stated that the Igbo people are really concerned about the socio-economic and political development of the country and Benue State since they have always contributed positively wherever they have gone.
Governor Ortom has backed calls for a president who is Igbo and from the South.
He also expressed his appreciation for their support of the Igbo community in Benue and their dedication to it, pointing out how they had influenced many others, including him.
“Your strategy to empower the younger generation is second to none.
“The Igbos are accommodating and hard-working. They are a group that can live with other ethnic groups and not like those that are killing my people and they want me to keep quiet"
