Amid the ongoing unresolved crisis rocking the leadership of the PDP, River State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpaezu, and Enugu State Governor, Ugwuanyi Ifeanyi boycotted the Peoples Democratic Party’s official flag-off of its presidential campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Monday, commenced his presidential campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with a campaign promise to rescue the nation of Nigeria from insecurity and a bad economy, and also to unite the northern and southern parts of the country.
It is still not certain the reasons behind the boycott of the rally today by the southeast and South-south governors, but there is speculation that it is as a result of their insistence that the PDP’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, should step down.
