Woman flogs three-year-old baby to death in Anambra
Yesterday in Anambra State, a mother named Chinelo Udogu allegedly beat to death her three-year-old child.

Sources claim that Udogu committed the crime out of rage and that after realising the baby had passed away, she put her in a bag and dropped her in a bush.

Online videos depict the woman being caught by some Amikwo locals after she abandoned the child in a nearby bush.

The incident has been confirmed by the state police command, which also reports that the offender has been taken into custody.

DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the state police public relations officer who confirmed the occurrence, issued a warning against becoming angry.

He said: “On the incident about a woman, Chinelo Udogu, who allegedly flogged a three-year-old child to death and dumped her body in a bush at Amikwo in Awka, she has been arrested and the victim’s body recovered.

“The lesson for us to learn is that we should be cautious when angry, and desist from going physical when correcting our children.

“Meanwhile, the case has been transferred to the state CID for investigations. Further development shall be communicated.”
