2023: Court affirms Uba Sani as APC Kaduna governorship candidate

Sen. Uba Sani, the All Progressive Congress (APCnominee )'s for governor, has been endorsed by the Federal High Court in Kaduna as the main contender for the state's 2023 election.

Justice Mohammed Garba gave the ruling, dismissing the lawsuit on the grounds that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear it.

Due to the fact that the lawsuit is a party concern and not an election-related matter, Garba rejected to hear the case on the grounds that it lacks jurisdiction.

The APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission were joined as the first and third defendants/respondents, respectively, and Sani was the second defendant in the lawsuit.

Sani Sha’aban had on June 20, dragged Sani and others before the court alleging that the primary that produced him as a candidate for the 2023 polls should be declared null and void.

According to him, the election was conducted without legal and due delegates.

He challenged the method used in the primary election that produced Sani, claiming that there was manipulation, alleging that the list of delegates was substituted from the wards and local governments.
