Political personalities and well-known people have not stopped offering their condolences to music artist Davido in the wake of the unfortunate death of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi.

On Monday, the kid drowned at his house in Lagos.

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, prayed for the singer of "Stand Strong," offering him strength and comfort.

"At this time, my thoughts and prayers are with Davido, Chioma, and the Adeleke family. I want God to give them courage and consolation," Mr. Abubakar tweeted.

Festus Keyamo, the minister of labor, also sent his condolences.

“I was actually waiting for a family statement on this to be sure. My condolences to this young family for experiencing this grief at this time,” Mr Keyamo. “May God Almighty grant the Adeleke family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss; and to all those who have suffered (a) similar fate.”

Ex-education minister Oby Ezekwesili also mourned with the family, describing the loss as painful.

“What a painful news to read that one of our young iconic musicians, Davido, lost his son! Ah. This is hard. May God just carry, speak peace and comfort their family, because only He really can say anything meaningful to them at this time,” she tweeted.

Police authorities confirmed the death of Ifeanyi David Adeleke this morning.

On Monday, PRIME 9JA ONLINE reported that the three-year-old drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos, according to a family source who informed PRIME 9JA ONLINE about the development.

“The boy was inside water for too long, and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said on the condition of anonymity to await an official statement. “By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital, it was already too late.”

Master Adeleke was born on October 20, 2019, to Davido’s girlfriend, Chioma Rowland.
