Tejuosho market on fire |
On Tuesday, fire ravaged portions of the Tejuosho market's clothes section in Lagos' Yaba neighbourhood.
The "Tailor market, Yaba, Lagos" was destroyed by the fire, according to Margaret Adeseye, head of the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service.
Ms Adeseye continued, "The Lagos Firefighters are putting out the fire which involved the apparel and tailoring materials portion of the market."
Emergency responders were present, according to Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Response Management Agency (LASEMA).
“Our team is on the ground,” Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said. “There have been no casualties so far. We are on top of the situation.”

A bank under construction was gutted by fire on the Victoria Island of Lagos, leading to the death of a male adult, with nine people sustaining various degrees of burns.
