On Thursday, the open indicative rate was N444.40 to $1.
Before it settled at N445.75, the highest exchange rate ever seen during the day's trading was N447 to the dollar.
During the course of the day's trade, the naira reached a low of 439.96 to the dollar.
A total of 121 million dollars was traded at the official Investors and Exporters window on Thursday.
