Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United football player, will go on trial for attempted rape, coercive behaviour, and assault.
The 21-year-old athlete appeared in Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday.
In a black suit, white shirt, and black tie, the football player's only words were his name and the year he was born.
A case management hearing is scheduled for February 10, 2023, according to the prosecutor, Jason Pitter KC.
The trial is slated to start on November 27, 2023, and is expected to last ten days.
Mason Greenwood did not enter a plea in response to the accusations.
The quick court hearing was attended by Greenwood's parents.
Judge Maurice Greene confirmed his prior conditions before releasing Greenwood on bail.
First detained in January on sexual assault claims stemming from online photos and videos, the player has since been released on bail.
After being released on bail, he was apprehended in October for violating his terms.
After Greenwood’s October 17 appearance before the Manchester Magistrates’ Court, he was remanded to police prison.
Two days later, he was granted bail in a closed hearing and was free to leave HMP Berwyn near Wrexham.
He was released on bail with the terms that he stay at an address on Bow Green Road in Bowdon and refrain from contacting any witnesses.
The alleged rape attempt occurred in October 2021.
Between November 2018 and October of this year, he allegedly engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour toward the complainant by making threats, insulting comments, and accessing and monitoring her social media accounts.
The date of the assault charge, which is December 2021, indicates that it was filed after the victim suffered physical harm.
After the online claims surfaced at the start of the year, the forward, who has made one appearance for England, was immediately suspended from playing and training with the Old Trafford club.
Electronic Arts announced Greenwood’s inactive status from FIFA 22 active squads, and Nike suspended and ultimately terminated its sponsorship contract with Greenwood.
