From Thursday to Saturday, the country is expected to see sunlight and haze, according to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).
According to NiMet's weather forecast, which was announced on Wednesday in Abuja, the northern area would have sunny and hazy conditions, with a chance of moderate dust haze across Borno, Yobe, Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa.
Over the North-Central states, a bright and hazy atmosphere is anticipated for the duration of the forecast.
“Partly cloudy to the cloudy atmosphere is anticipated over the inland areas of the South during the morning and afternoon and evening hours.
“Cloudy conditions are expected over the coastal cities in the mornings with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Ogun, Delta, Oyo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers in the afternoon and evening period,’’ it stated.
The agency envisaged a sunny and hazy atmosphere over the northern and North-Central region on Friday.
NiMet advised airline operators to get updated weather reports from it for effective planning in their operations.
