According to Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos, politicians utilise his predictions for personal gain.
This was said by the preacher, speaking to the media in Lagos on Friday about his book of yearly prophesies for 2023.
When asked why he contradicted himself by predicting that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, will win the 2023 elections, the Primate gave an answer.
He claims that although God has not spoken, he always communicates to his prophets.
Ayodele said: “Politicians twist my prophecy for their selfish interest.
“The book was published in July 2022, but God will always speak to you as a prophet.
“As of now, God has not said anything about who will be the winner, but one person will emerge.”
This is barely 24 hours after the Chief Spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye, shared a video on his social media page of a prophecy the Primate gave.
According to Ayodele, in July 2022, Abubakar and the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, cannot make Nigeria any better than it is.
He, however, said things will worsen when the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerges as the president in 2023.
He said: “Not Atiku or Peter Obi can make Nigeria any better; I have not seen any fantastic candidate that can turn Nigeria around.
“But one person must be there no matter the situation.
“Tinubu and APC can only win by rigging, I don’t hate him, but I’m speaking as the prophet of God.
“If Tinubu becomes president, Nigeria will be worse than Buhari’s government; Nigeria will be stagnant, a failed nation, a disgraced nation.
“Tinubu will become a pandemic, disaster, calamity in Nigeria; mind you, I don’t hate him, but I’m speaking as a prophet of God.
“The election is for PDP, but if they fail to re-strategise properly, they will give it to Tinubu,”
Ayodele stated that Nigerians are about to make the same mistake they made in 2015.
He said: “We clamoured for a change in 2015, but it worsened, and now we are about to make the same mistake.
“Until we change and start seeking the face of God during the election.
“It is sad for the Christian Association of Nigeria as a religious body to engage in politicking; they have failed to seek the face of God.
“I don’t believe in CAN, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, unification.
“They are corrupt; they are not religious; they are just corrupt people.
“That is why I don’t believe in CAN or PFN.
“It is not divine; there is no grace in it.
“I am not bothered if they say I predict my prophecies.
“Tinubu would have been a better candidate, but God is against the Muslim-Muslim ticket, and I stand by the word of God.
“Atiku, Obi and Tinubu are selfish because they won’t give Nigeria what they want.
“Obi will try a bit, but he won’t do much.
“Atiku would not do any serious thing.
“Tinubu would not do much.”
