Adeleke has been promoted to the chairman of the South-West Coordinating Committee for the council, according to a statement released on Saturday by Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, who is also the Director-General of the PDP presidential campaign organisation. Other PDP members were chosen by Tambuwal to hold important positions in Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign committee.
The appointments would take place "with immediate implications," the governor of Sokoto State stated. One of them is a former senator and current Director of Public Affairs Dino Melaye.
