By formally complaining to them, the former Department of State Services officer informed the relevant authorities.
"Re: Threat to my life - Save my soul," was the subject of Adeyi's letter to the AIG of Zone XI. A copy was also provided to the DSS. "I am compelled to write for the second time this year to seek the protection of the Osun State police command and the DSS over many sponsored assaults and threat to my life by some privileged persons in the state," the man said.
"It is a fact that in early 2021, I made use of my privilege as a People's Democratic Party member by presenting the PDP Governorship Aspirants Screening Appeal Committee with a petition questioning Senator Ademola Adeleke's academic credentials and track record."
The panel concluded that the credentials were full of serious mistakes and false assertions.
After thanking and praising me, the panel instructed the Osun PDP and the candidate's handlers to finalise the documents before submitting them to INEC.
"As a result of this, I have repeatedly received threats against my life, to the point where I had to formally protest to the police authority, the DSS, and the people of Osun and Nigeria."
Threats and attacks haven't stopped since then either. The Governor's credentials are still a matter of litigation, but I made the conscious decision to maintain my composure. I have since spoken what needs to be said and moved on.
"A bulldozer destroyed my business location on Saturday. Before being illegally and criminally demolished by the agents of Governor Ademola Adeleke, my business resort, which was worth several million Naira, was spread across four plots of land.
They are aiming for my life, so I'm making a plea to the police and DSS to check into the situation and spare my life and the lives of my family members.
