Insp Courage Ekhueorohan, the prosecutor, informed the court that the defendant had committed the crime on Surulere's Chief Bereola Street in November.
According to Ekhueorohan, the defendant took N3 million from the rent and upkeep of a property that the complainant, Utibe Effiong, had ordered her to take care of.
He claimed that the money was intended to be deposited into the complainant's account by the defendant, but she instead used it for her own benefit.
According to Ekhueorohan, the offence violated Section 287 (7) of the Lagos State Criminal Law from 2015.
According to The News Agency of Nigeria, the clause mandates a seven-year sentence for stealing from an employer.
The defendant was granted bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount by Magistrate O. O. Otitoju.
The sureties were required by Otitoju to provide proof of their tax payments to the Lagos State Government.
She postponed consideration of the case until December 29.
