Tamunominini Makinde, the governor of Oyo State's wife, visited two hospitals in Saki, Oke Ogun, on Sunday to give Christmas-day newborns special presents.
The First Lady gave gifts to three infants who were born on Christmas Day during her visit to the Primary Healthcare Center in Isale Taba and the State Specialist Hospitals in the Kolawole neighbourhood of Saki town in the state's Oke Ogun zone.
The statement went on to say that Mrs Makinde was overjoyed to see the infants in such good health.
She pleaded with the parents to provide their children's welfare the proper care.
She also expressed her happiness over the women's safe birth while advising them to always practise excellent hygiene.
Parents and family members danced and rejoiced as they gave the newborns their gifts.
According to a statement made by Governor Makinde's chief press secretary, Taiwo Adisa, the wife of the governor was joined at the occasion by the state commissioner for special duties, Alhaja Fausat Sanni, and the wife of the state's deputy governor, Ajibola Lawal.
As she gave the parents their gifts and the money, Mrs Makinde urged them to raise their children well so that they will grow up to be future leaders.
The governor's wife said that if parents give their kids a good upbringing, many social abnormalities will be better handled.
The State Specialist Hospitals, Saki's Children's Ward also received contributions.
