Ekiti Tribunal Shifts Judgement to Thursday in Petition Filed by Oni Against Oyebanji

The judgement on the appeal brought by Engineer Segun Oni, contesting the win of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, has been postponed till Thursday by the Election Petition Tribunal in charge of the 2022 Ekiti State gubernatorial election.

According to a statement sent to the press in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday by the Secretary of the Tribunal, Umar Abubakar, the judgement would take place on Thursday at the Ekiti State High Court, Ado Ekiti, as opposed to the original announcement of Wednesday, December 28.

The tribunal stated that the judgement would now be delivered on Thursday instead of the previously reported date of December 28, 2022, adding;  “Thursday, 29th, December 2022 is sacrosanct and all parties concerned have been duly notified to take note”.
