Muhammadu Buhari reappoints Edward Adamu, Aisha Ahmed as CBN deputy governors
President Muhammadu Buhari has proposed Edward Adamu and Aisha Ahmed for reappointment as deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and he has asked the senate to confirm their nomination.

The candidate is running for reelection for his or her last term in office.

2018, Buhari approved Adamu's appointment as the Central Bank of Nigeria's deputy governor (CBN).

After holding the role of director of human resources, Adamu was proposed for the job of deputy governor in 2016.

Ahmed was given the position of deputy governor for the first time that year.

The most recent appeal for Buhari to be renominated for a second term was made in a letter read aloud on the red chamber's floor on Tuesday by Ahmad Lawan, the senate president.

Buhari wrote that he was making the request following section 8(1)(2) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) (establishment) act 2007 and that he was doing so.

Buhari proposed federal capital territory (FCT) native Ayuba Ngbako for the position of member of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). Buhari asked the senate to confirm Ngbako's appointment and look into his background in a different letter.

Buhari has also handed the senate the proposed FCT statutory budget for 2023, following section 121 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria's 1999 Constitution. (As modified).
