Nigerian troops attack, neutralise 10 bandits in Kaduna
Operation Forest Sanity troops neutralised eight bandits during ambush patrols in the general regions of the Chikun and Birnin Gwari councils in Kaduna State, and they also captured six motorbikes from them.

The state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, made this announcement in a statement that was made public yesterday.

The soldiers allegedly hid in ambush near the Buruku and Birnin Gwari borders, where bandits were known to cross, according to the statement.

In the first successful mission, the forces made contact with the bandits, killed eight of them, and also seized four motorbikes and three mobile phones.

Later, while on a second mission, the soldiers chased away robbers and captured two motorbikes.

Forces neutralised two bandits during clearance operations along the Sabon Birni, Maidaro, Dogon Dawa, Galadimawa, Kidandan, and Fatika axes. Six motorbikes, three mobile phones, two magazines with 52 bullets each, and one AK-47 weapon were discovered and retrieved by the troops.

According to Aruwan, Garke and Galadimawa in the Giwa LGA were also targeted, and nine motorbikes, three Dane weapons, two magazines, and some military uniforms were found.

According to the commissioner, Governor Nasir El-Rufai gratefully noted the reports and lauded the soldiers' cunning, tenacity, and fortitude in the course of the operations.
