The Hack: 9mobile takes entrepreneurship mentoring initiative to Rivers
It was a thrilling atmosphere as 9mobile, a forward-thinking and SME-friendly telecommunications provider in Nigeria, anchored the third iteration of its entrepreneurship initiative, "The Hack," in the Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, further reiterating its commitment to the expansion of Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.

Hundreds of aspiring business owners attended the event, which took place at the L. A. King Dome in Rumuomasi.

The Director of Enterprise Business at 9mobile, Olalekan Fatusa, welcomed everyone and expressed his delight at the remarkable number of entrepreneurs that attended the Port Harcourt edition of "The Hack," particularly the women entrepreneurs.

"I'm pleased to be here since this is the third 'Hack' we are having in 2022," Fatusa added.

I am really pleased to see so many female company owners there.

Seeing our ladies exhibit the willingness to build their enterprises is remarkable and energising. We documented a gender mix in the other places we have hosted this similar programme, but Port Harcourt stands out with a bigger proportion of young female company owners.

In "The Hack," he promised participants 9mobile would help them optimise their businesses. He said: "What we're doing today is showing you how to build your speciality, enhance your businesses, and give you all the tools you need to scale.

Nigeria's unemployment problem can be solved through entrepreneurship.

Tricia Olufemi-Olumide (TriciaBiz), a business growth expert and the forum's main facilitator, discussed business growth strategies for SMEs looking to expand their operations, including product development, sales channel optimization, complementary products and services, collaboration and partnerships, ongoing online presence, and the use of strategic public relations tools.

Olufemi-Olumide emphasised that SMEs must use the many opportunities presented by online platforms in addition to selling.

She said I urge you to join these platforms, "not so much to sell as to obtain tremendous awareness since people increasingly search for advertisements online to make business decisions."

Oluwasegun Dawodu, manager of 9mobile's corporate and SMEs markets, also spoke with the participants.

The Hack is a clever technique to expedite a task, according to Dawodu, because there are several approaches to problem-solving, one of which 9mobile provides.

When you understand how to upgrade your firm by utilising technical solutions and tools, you have "The Hack."

"At 9mobile, we focus on and think like SMEs,"

Experienced SME mentors and business experts offer business basics and insights at The Hack by 9mobile, a free entrepreneurial initiative and networking event, to assist SMEs and expanding companies in scaling up.

The expansion of the SME sector, easing the effects of unemployment, and strengthening of the Nigerian economy are all goals that 9mobile has set as pillars of sustainability.
