Thomas Tuchel has been learning Spanish since he is expected to play in La Liga in the future.
Since being fired by Chelsea at the beginning of September as a result of a disappointing start to the season, Tuchel has remained jobless.
Many were surprised by the decision because the German was usually regarded as one of the top managers in the world, and his tenure at Chelsea had generally been successful.
Since being sacked, he has been connected with several prestigious jobs due to how well-regarded he is currently, including management positions with Juventus and the England national team.
According to BILD, the manager has reportedly been working hard to improve his Spanish, so Tuchel has been preparing for a different role anyway.
Luis de la Fuente succeeding Luis Enrique would prevent him from taking over as manager of the Spanish national team, but a transfer to a La Liga club seems highly likely.
Following another Champions League group stage defeat, questions have begun to be raised about Xavi's position at Barcelona. Diego Simeone has struggled at Atletico Madrid this year, while Carlo Ancelotti's long-term future at Real Madrid is also uncertain.
To strengthen his capacity to interact with Spanish-speaking and South American players in his future career, Tuchel may also consider learning the language.
