Victor Osimhen opens up on Napoli future

Victor Osimhen claims he is content at Napoli despite interest from clubs like Chelsea.

The Gli Azzurri are now in first place in Serie A, and the top Nigerian striker is one of Napoli's current generation of great players.

For the first time since 1990, they are searching for a solid position to win the Scudetto.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Kim Min-Jae will receive new contracts from Napoli, according to recent reports, while Osimhen will be sold in the summer.

Before deciding on his next club, the striker said he wanted to experience success and win titles with Napoli.

“[Napoli] is one of the best clubs in Europe, and I want to win here,” Osimhen told Il Mattino. “The future is this moment; try to win something relevant in Italy.

“It’s hard to think about something better than Napoli, one of the best clubs in Italy, right now. I am only focused on this season because we haven’t done anything yet. We must win something, and then we’ll see what happens.”

Napoli returns to Serie A on January 4 with a tough trip to San Siro to face Inter.

Osimhen currently leads the scorers' chart in Italy with nine goals, one clear of Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic.
