The organisation also stated that it sent out three patrol cars, one ambulance, and one tow truck for the holiday special patrol, which it disclosed started on Tuesday and is anticipated to go until January 15, 2023.
This was revealed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by FRSC Unit Commander Sikiru Alonge on Friday in Ore, Ondo State.
Alonge revealed that the FRSC had officers, marshals, and special marshals on staff who were responsible for maintaining the free flow of traffic on the roadway.
He explained: "We started the special patrol since we are currently in the holiday season, when there is a significant vehicular traffic and influx of people as well.
Additionally, we have worked with other security organisations to improve traffic flow and detain violators of highway traffic laws.
However, he warned motorists from breaking the law in order to keep them alive for their families to enjoy and celebrate the holiday season.
