Yuletide: NSCDC deploys 3000 personnel to protect critical national asset in Kaduna
The Kaduna Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) reported that it has stationed over 3,000 personnel around the North Western State to guard critical national assets.

In a statement released by the command's public relations officer, DSC Habeeb Badamasi, on Friday in Kaduna, the capital city, the NSCDC Commandant, Idris Adah, made the remarks.

According to Badamasi, the commandant gave the go-ahead for the deployment across the state's 23 local government areas to prevent any breakdown of law and order over the holiday season.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, the cops, according to him, would guard against theft of national assets and protect lives and property.

He advised locals to report the suspicious criminal activity immediately to ensure speedy capture and conviction.

Additionally, he asked locals to always follow the law while assuring them of protecting their lives and property.

He urged the people to support the NSCDC's initiatives by providing helpful information on individuals, activities, and incidents that might disrupt peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations.

As an additional piece of advice, he suggested that law-abiding citizens make the most of the heightened regular patrols and monitoring that are taking place at this difficult time to clear suspected hotspots of criminal individuals.

He warned terrorists and criminals, advising them to turn from their ways and become law-abiding citizens.

As the NSCDC officials and troops had completely taken over the terrain, Badamosi encouraged the general populace to sleep with closed eyes.
