APC: Ifeanyi Okowa ignored James Ibori’s hometown for 7 years

Chief James Ibori, a former governor and supporter of the PDP, would not run for office in the next 2023 elections, according to Chief Hope Abijor, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.

He said that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the current governor of Delta State, had done nothing in the town of Oghara in the Ethiope West local government area, where Chief Ibori, the previous governor, is from.

In reaction to the presence of Chief Ede Dafinone, the APC Delta central senatorial candidate, and his entourage, led by the DG, Chief Barr Adelabu Bodjor, Abijor said this while running for office in ward 7 of the local government.

In the past, he claimed, Oghara and the rest of the local government had been steadfast allies of the PDP, but things had changed as a result of the seven years of neglect by the Governor Okowa-led administration.

“Okowa has done nothing in Oghara. The teaching hospital our national leader brought to Oghara has become a shadow of itself.”

“Our people used to support the PDP because of what we have on the ground before now. There’s been no road constructed by Okowa in Oghara in the past seven years, and the people supporting him have nothing to show.

“There’s no reflection of the government on those working with the PDP. For this reason, our people are tired of them. I can tell you that majority of the council of chiefs are in APC. APC will come out victorious in Oghara.

“I firmly believe that our national leader, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, will not work for the PDP because the party has wronged him. Despite the daughter contesting under the PDP, I know he will work for us.

“Even if you had not come, we will still work for you, but now that you have come, we will double our hustle so that you can win convincingly. After winning, Amori cannot take you to court because the margin will be too high.”

Chief Ede Dafinone, the APC senatorial candidate for Delta Central, spoke earlier and asked party members to vote for all APC candidates. He promised to improve people’s lives if elected.
