Arsene Wenger: Arsenal can win the Premier League title
Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal, claims that his club "can go all the way" and win the Premier League now that they have a seven-point advantage over the competition.

On the road, Arsenal defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 4-2 while earlier on Saturday, Manchester City lost to struggling Everton. The 2023 season will start with a big lead for Mikel Arteta's squad.

After the club's outstanding start to the season, Arsenal supporters, who haven't seen their team win the Premier League since Wenger's "Invincibles" season in 2003–2004, are optimistic.

Wenger has expressed confidence in the Gunners’ ability to keep up their title push, telling TV2: “The performance [against Brighton] was fantastic. Arsenal is getting stronger and stronger.

“It was a one-way street. They have all the necessary ingredients, both tactically and mentally.

“They can go all the way. I don’t see any weaknesses. Because, as you can see, they create so many chances.

Wenger praised Martin Odegaard, a Norwegian international who scored and assisted in the win at the Amex Stadium.

“He makes decisions quickly, and always optimally. It is remarkable,” Wenger said.

“I like him and the way he makes football look so easy. He has developed very well. It’s really amazing. His decisions, he is also a leader in the team.”

Two minutes in, Bukayo Saka got things started for Arsenal with a goal, and the winger added that City’s draw earlier in the day inspired them to make sure they got the job done against Brighton.

‘We just try to focus on ourselves,’ Saka said to BBC Sport. “But when we heard about [City’s 1-1 draw] it gave us extra motivation to try and press on and get a result.”
