BREAKING: Abducted Son Of Murdered Ogun Couple Found Dead

Oreoluwa Fatinoye, the son of the couple who was reportedly murdered on the first day of the year in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has been identified by the recovery of his body from a river.

The deceased was reportedly taken by the criminals who killed his parents and then killed and dumped him into a river along the Adigbe-Obada road in Abeokuta.

Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, a married couple, reportedly perished in the event that took place at their home in the Abeokuta neighbourhood of Ibara Government Reservation Area (GRA).

According to information obtained by our journalist, the event happened soon after the couple got home after their New Year's Eve Cross Over Service.

While the husband worked for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the wife was employed by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

But on Tuesday morning, a fisherman came upon Oreoluwa's decaying body floating in the river.

According to reports, the attackers grabbed Oreoluwa and the housekeeper before throwing the two into a river in the Adigbe-Obada neighbourhood of the town.

Prior to being tossed into the river, our reporter saw the deceased's hands fatigued with a rope over his back.

Idowu Taiwo, the fisherman who found the body, claimed that he was getting ready for the day's work when he came across the dead body floating in the river.

“On Monday, we heard that someone was thrown into this river, but this morning while we were preparing for work, the police approached us and pleaded with us to inform them whenever we discover the body.

“But, this morning, around 7.30, we discovered the body while we were checking on our equipment in the river. I called someone to help us get the number of the PPRO to tell him that we had discovered the body.

“Not long after, the police came and we showed them the body we had brought to the river bank”, Idowu said.

Prime 9ja Online reports that the Police later took the corpse of Oreoluwa away in the presence of a family member of the Fatinoyes.

The Police Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the command had commenced an investigation to unravel the mystery behind the death of the Fatinoyes.

Oyeyemi said a suspect had been arrested in connection to the incident.
