Chukwuma Soludo: Peter Obi didn’t allow Labour Party to campaign freely in Anambra as governor

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, has been accused by Chukwuma Soludo, the current governor of Anambra State, of obstructing his current party's efforts to campaign in the state while he was in office.

Soludo made this allegation on Thursday during the question-and-answer portion of the Politics Today programme on Channels Television.

In response to charges made by LP leaders that the state had restricted the party's capacity to run for office, the governor of Anambra addressed the issue.

“Nobody has done that. He did not even allow the Labour Party, where he is now, to freely campaign in Anambra. He denied them even the venue that they paid for,” he said.

Soludo further mentioned that he had allowed Obi to use State government properties twice during his campaign.
