According to a statement provided to Prime 9ja Online on Monday and signed by Christiane Bossom, Group Communications Manager for the Ecobank Group, the Ecobank Group has won the Best Place to Work in Africa 2022 Award from the Best Place to Work Organization. According to the statement, the award recognises companies that uphold the highest levels of excellence in their human resources (HR) procedures and employee satisfaction. The certification was initially given to Ecobank, a bank with operations throughout Africa.
The Ecobank Group's CEO, Ade Ayeyemi, stated: "At Ecobank, we understand that our employees are our biggest asset. As a pan-African bank, we deliberately allocate resources to find, nurture, and retain the best personnel. In order to create a performance-driven culture and enabling environment, we actively supply the procedures and resources. Being named as one of the Best Places to Work in Africa on a global scale is an honour. The certification programme includes stringent evaluations and rankings based on the findings of thorough and objective evaluations conducted at various hierarchical levels and throughout HR operations and procedures. The assessment process resulted in the Ecobank Group achieving a total certification score of 79% – any percentage above 75% is considered high. The certification of the Best Place to Work accreditation is for one year (November 2022-November 2023).
