Kwara government gives scholarships to law school students

The Kwara State government has mandated that scholarship money be given to citizens of Kwara State who are currently enrolled in the Nigerian Law School.

Dr Afees Abolore, the State's Commissioner for Tertiary Education, said this on Thursday in Ilorin, the state's capital.

He declared that the money would be transferred directly into the recipient accounts in the spirit of full transparency.

The governor of the State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was reinforced by Abolore as someone who genuinely cares about the welfare of his constituents' children, including pupils.

He assured them that the list would be used to make sure the Nigerian Law School was properly compensated.

Additionally, he promised to cooperate with the State Scholarship Board to move promptly so that payments could start right away.

The State native Omotayo Dada, who received top honours from the Nigerian Law School, also received a greeting from the Commissioner.
