The Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, will be elected, according to Mrs. Dudu Manuga, the party's national women's leader, who made the statement on Friday in Gombe.
Obi is still the most competent candidate who can meet Nigerians' high expectations, as Manuga told the journalists.
Because of his wide past and ongoing honesty, she thinks Obi is the most qualified candidate seeking government in Nigeria.
Manuga claimed that Obi's significant leadership experience, commercial savvy on a global scale, and two stints as governor of Anambra made him the greatest contender for the presidency.
“The growing acceptance of Peter Obi amongst youths and women is because they believe that he would bring a new narrative to governance that will reorder the nation for the benefit of the people.”
She vowed that “Obi will not disappoint Nigerians if elected,” praising his “competence, trustworthiness, and the requisite integrity” to take the country to new heights.
To assure Obi’s victory, Manuga, in her role as national women’s leader, stated that she and her team were actively recruiting more women to vote.
“We women are naturally endowed with the capacity to give birth. We have been pregnant, carrying in us the new Nigeria.
“We are almost at the point of birth and are not ready to have a stillbirth or a miscarriage.
“The strength we need to give birth is our Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) which we have tagged `Peter’s Victory Card’.
“We will use this strength all over the country to push and ensure a new Nigeria is born,” she emphasised.
Manuga urged the country’s young women and men to vote for Obi by picking up their permanent voter cards (PVCs) before the INEC deadline passed.
