People in China begin their celebrations for the start of Chinese New Year

According to the lunar calendar (Chunjie), the Chinese commemorate the beginning of the New Year, which falls under the sign of the black water rabbit.

Due to the approaching holidays, some restaurants, banks, businesses, and government agencies in China have closed. The only remaining employees are police, firefighters, and other emergency workers.
