The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been forewarned by Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, to postpone the general election date in order to avoid an unresolved election.
Primate Ayodele said that some places will not hold elections if they are held on the scheduled date in a statement signed by his media aide Osho Oluwatosin on Friday and emailed to Prime 9ja Online.
He claims that a postponement is required so that INEC can better get ready for the election.
“If INEC doesn’t postpone the general elections, it will not hold in some places and it will lead to an inconclusive election. There are some people who will sabotage the election in those places,” he stated.
In addition, Primate Ayodele disclosed that restructuring, rather than elections, is the answer to Nigeria’s crisis. He elaborated on how the country will fall apart if restructuring isn’t implemented in the next administration.
Primate Ayodele has warned that a large-scale protest will occur if the next government in Nigeria does not restructure the country, claiming that this is the best option for the country’s unity.
“Nigeria cannot move forward without restructuring; God said that is the answer to Nigeria’s problems, not elections. If Nigeria doesn’t restructure in the coming dispensation, the country will collapse, and what we don’t expect will happen.’
“If we want Nigeria to be united, restructuring is the answer. I also foresee a massive protest against the government in the coming dispensation if restructuring isn’t done.
“None of the candidates can get the solution to the country, all the campaigns are lies. The best bet for the country is restructuring.”
