Train Station Attack: Kidnappers Demand N20m Each – Sources

The passengers who were abducted while waiting to board a train at Ekehen station in Edo State's Igueben Local Government Area have made a ransom demand.

According to reports, the kidnappers made contact with the victims' families on Monday and wanted a N20 million ransom for each abducted person.

The state administration has pledged to survey the region, according to Benson Ordia, a young leader in the neighbourhood who corroborated the occurrence.

The spokesperson for the Edo state Command, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, claimed he was unaware of the kidnappers' request.

Recall that on Saturday, gunmen broke into the station and abducted 32 passengers, taking them into the wilderness.

Security personnel worked with hunters and vigilantes to rescue six of the victims, including three youngsters.
