Yobe declares Monday, Tuesday public holidays owing to President Buhari's visit

Yobe's governor, Mai Mala Buni, has proclaimed Monday and Tuesday as holidays to honour President Muhammadu Buhari's visit.

This was said in a statement made on Sunday in Damaturu by the state's head of service, Alhaji Garba Bilal.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Buhari will travel to the region to officially open a number of construction projects, including the Maternal and Child Health Care Complex, Ultra-Modern Market, and Cargo Airport.

Bilal said, “ this is to enable civil servants and the general public to receive the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who will be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects.”

But he added that state servants would be back at work on Wednesday. (NAN)
