2023 Election: APC Thugs Disrupt Voting in Over 25 Kogi Polling Units
The voting process in Kogi state was disrupted by violence on February 25th, 2023, as All Progressives Congress (APC) thugs caused chaos and confusion in over 25 polling units in Oboroke and Ihima.

Eyewitnesses reported that the APC thugs, who were armed with dangerous weapons, stormed several polling units in the area, causing panic among voters and electoral officials. They attacked electoral officials, harassed voters, and disrupted the electoral process by snatching ballot boxes and destroying election materials.

The situation in Oboroke and Ihima is a major concern for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders who have been working to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process. The violence perpetrated by the APC thugs undermines the integrity of the electoral process and threatens the stability of the state.

The disruption caused by the APC thugs is a threat to Nigeria's democracy, and it is important for all stakeholders to take urgent action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The security agencies must step up their efforts to provide adequate protection for voters, electoral officials, and materials during the electoral process. INEC must also take appropriate measures to prevent vote-buying and other forms of electoral malpractices.

The disruption of the voting process by APC thugs is a clear violation of the electoral laws and an affront to democracy. All political parties and their supporters must abide by the rules of the electoral process and conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner. The APC must take responsibility for the actions of its members and ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.

As the electoral process continues, it is important for all stakeholders to work together to ensure that the will of the people is reflected in the final outcome of the election. The violence and disruption caused by the APC thugs must not be allowed to undermine the credibility of the electoral process. The people of Kogi state must be allowed to vote for their preferred candidates in a peaceful and orderly manner, and their votes must be counted and respected.
